About Us
I was a package handler for 2 years, herniated a disc in my lower
back which pinched my sciatic nerve and had a lumbar
laminectomy in 2004. After surgery my entire left leg was numb. I
went through physical therapy, had electromyograph done and
then I experienced my first professional massage and could not
believe how I felt afterwards. I walked out of the clinic feeling like a
weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It helped my morale and
physical well-being. I absolutely loved it. I learned that after an
injury receiving a professional massage assists the healing
process. From that moment on I had to figure out a way to tell
anyone I came across how a professional massage can help in
many ways. It took about 2 months before I could get the feeling in
my left leg back since the disc had stopped the blood from flowing
through the sciatic nerve for 5 months. (the sciatic nerve is the
largest nerve in your body. It starts at the lower part of your back
and extends down the legs and comes toward the pinky toe.) I've
lost the pain sensations in my left leg and can literally follow the
numbness down my leg to the left side of my foot.  It has gotten
better over the years.
Since this incident I decided to discover the world of massage
therapy and educate others on how important it can be in their life. I
am the ONLY Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapist in the St. Louis area
to be taught directly under the Founder Ruthie Piper Hardee for the
advanced classes. I am currently on the Mastery Level.

Scleroderma ("sclero" means harden and "derma" means skin).
Please educate yourself on this auto-immune disease. The cause
in unknown, it is not contagious, and it is not hereditary
.

Benefits of Bodywork

Massage helps the mind, body, and spirit.
It is one of the oldest healing therapies known to man.

From the moment we are born our first instinct is to touch.
It gives us a sense of security.

Massage can relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. It also relaxes,
soothes muscle aches and pains. It can also improve
a persons emotional and physical well-being.

When given a massage the release of endorphins are administered,
which is what your body produces to relieve pain.
In other words its your body naturally producing a pain killer.

Think of it this way, your body is made up of different muscles that work together to perform certain actions. If one
part of your body, a specific muscle,
is tight then it is causing pressure on another muscle.
Which is the pain and discomfort that you are feeling.

Lets face it, everyone wants to live a healthy lifestyle but with stress that we come across everyday can take a toll
on our bodies.

Receiving a massage 2-4 times a month will increase lymphatic flow,
blood circulation and help strengthen your
immune system to maintain balance for a healthier lifestyle.
